ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Classmates,

As we are about to engage in two of the holiest days in our religions, I wanted to take a moment to say to all of you that we are so thankful for our coming together as classmates those many years ago. There is no question that WE ALL SHARE the remarkable time that we all got to know each other during our time at Thomas Jefferson High School. How many of those we know outside our High School relationship can still have friends from their High School days, as we can? Truly, we are a Blessed group.

I do know that as we are growing wiser, we have learned many things over the years. One thing I have learned is that friendships are remarkable. The bond that keeps us together is our remarkable class. When one looks at our lives in the "rearview mirror", I think that in all we have achieved and done in our lives, the friendships we made and have today from our high school days are, without question, one of the most important aspects of our lives.

As we now approach our most important religious times, I am reminded of a recent comment that I made to someone. To me, if we truly believe in our G-D, it is my belief that at the top of the mountain is the resident of whom we believe in. Going from the top, there are many roads that lead downward, but they all in reverse end at the top. Truly, does it matter what road one travels to get to the top? I feel like my road is not being traveled by everyone, as is the case with whatever road you have chosen. Does that make my road the wrong road? I say NO. No matter what road you travel, all roads lead to a spiritual being who can be called by various names, but in essence, they are all the same G-D, who accepts us as beings and entities who believe.

May G-D bless you all at this very reverent time of year. My prayers are for all and for PEACE ON EARTH.

Respectfully,

Melvin Katz

Hey Classmate!  It has been too long since we have all gotten together to renew friendships, tell stories and remember all the fun times we all have had together.  We are thing about having some sort of an event after Passover and Easter.  We have published a survey to gauge the Class interest and get your input.  Access the servey by clicking on Class of 1962 Get Together Survey at top of the menu column on the left side of the screen.
