Dear Friends and TJ Supporters,

The 2025-2026 school year was a huge success for the Tee Jay Vikings Fund. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible donors, we provided nearly 2,000 meals for students participating in extracurricular activities, $10,000 in scholarships, installed new stage curtains, and purchased 125 new classroom desks.

Looking Ahead to Our 100th Anniversary

As Thomas Jefferson High School approaches its centennial in 2030, we are embarking on our largest project ever: raising $63,000 to clean the exterior façade of our historic building.

In partnership with TJ administration, the Vikings Fund identified this as the vital first step in a comprehensive three-phase plan to clean, restore, and protect the exterior before our 100th anniversary.

A Local Partner with Deep TJ Roots

We are proud to partner with Envirowash for this project. Their impressive portfolio includes historic landmarks like the Virginia State Capitol and the Library of Virginia. Even better, they share a personal connection to our school—both parents of founder and owner James Herbert attended TJ!

Envirowash is generously completing the cleaning work during the summer while school is out, while allowing us to fundraise through the remainder of 2026.

All donations received by the Vikings Fund through December 31, 2026, will be dedicated directly to this exterior cleaning project (unless otherwise specified).
