I'm class of '61, but had a lot of friends in '62.

School Story:

Memories:

Cheerleaders at football games regaling us with: "Y'all yell!" with the second word pronounced "yay-ell."

Mr. Jarvis (a real character in so many ways). He reportedly instructed a class: "Take out a piece of paper. Skip a line." Interrupting Ms. Gill's chemistry class, he would say, "Miss Virginia, may I speak to you for a moment, please?"

Estelle Tankard's Journalism class. Mr. Kessler's German class (and isn't Stephanie Birkhead in '62)?

Judi Scott, my first love.

Barry,
Long time no see. You were one of the "cool kids."

Remember my Plymouth Fury? I just bought one that's the same, except red where mine at TJ was yellow. Photo attached. Stay well. (The babe is my wife, Jean.)

Jimmy LaPrade and Jimmy Enroughty were the two Jimmys in my Patrick Henry class. It's so sad that one of them is gone.

I have to counter the super-nerdy yearbook picture, so will try to enclose a recent photo.

One of my best friends just had a quadruple bypass, and he's recovering nicely. It's becoming almost routine. Relax and enjoy it. :) Best wishes, Harry

You are looking at an unusually happy old woman, all alone in a very happy place. Please share a picture of you in a very happy place when you can. I think many of your former classmates would enjoy seeing it. I know I would!

See a couple of comments I made on the great new pics, below. And since this site puts up the picture of me from my nerdiest age, I have added one in self-defense,

Marilyn,
I saw on Judi Scott's page that you claim to have Miss Tankard's phone number. Can this be?!!! If so, please send it to me at hb@alum.mit.edu

I've been to Taliesin only once, but I am a huge FLW fan and have seen many, many of his magnificent structures--and some modest ones. In '71 I visited Lloyd Wright, his son, in his Hollywood home. I thought I was just stopping by to get the addresses of his father's buildings in L.A., but he was there and asked us (my friend and I) to come into his living room. He was dressed like and looked like his father.

We never had a class together, did we? (I, as you know, am class of '61).
