Prayers from Martinsville,VA. Perhaps it's phones, tv that seem to bring this atrocious madness closer to each of us. This may change the world we have known. I remember I guess in 50s going to the furnace room at William Fox covering my neck with one hand with my head on folded arms but it never seemed a reality. What is happening now feels close.
God be with your daughter in law and family.

I have related this before but as the onslought continues against the Ukranian people. Let us not forget that this is genocide by Putin. G-D Bless th Ukranian people for their resolve to defend their country. Even in the face of these horrific outnumbered forces, the Ukranian people are victors in this unjust invasion.

Linda:  5 days!  Wow!  They are really DETERMINED & BRAVE ! That is Amazing!  HUGS to THEM & YOU, TOO!  Miracles DO Exist!  We hope the same for others who are there. The News said there have been mee-    tings & negotiations re. letting the innocent people leave.  This reminds me of the story of Poland & Austria, England & France, when the Nazis invaded there during World War II.  Another "Day of Infamy!"... Stay safe & hold your son & granddaughter close!!!

Thank you for all the prayers for my daughter -in- laws parents . Maryna has safely retuned with her parents fromtheUktaine and the are safely in Downers Grove , Illinois with My son and their daughter . Their visa is good for 2 months and we shall see what happens. Their home has been shelled in Ukraine and no telling what will be left for them to return too. But all thoughts and concerns have been so helpful. They can not believe what is on the TV as they had no access to it while in their city on the Eastern border near Russia . Thank you allπŸ§πŸ€—πŸ™πŸΌ

Linda:

We are so glad that they are safe. I do not think the people of Russia have any idea of what their troops are doing under Putin's direction. The world knows and he shall be accountable for his horrific actions against the people of The Ukraine.

Thank you Linda for the update and good news. I hope their Visa will be extended. They are truly in need of a refugee status that will allow them to stay in the US.

Sad note

Billy George, husbane of the late Penny Henley George, had a stroke last Thursday March 10.  He is partially paralyzed and his speech is slurred.  He is in Sheltering Arms in the West End rehabbing.

Thought class would like to know.

Sidney

Here's very exciting news from Arizona!

My Daughter Rachael's Step-Son, Tim Jones, has completed the Musical Score for a brand new Documentary Movie, called "Waterman," which is now showing at various theatres across the U.S.A.!

It is the Biography of Duke Kahanamoku, a Hawaiian man who broke the color barrier through his championships in Swimming & Surfboarding in the Olympics & rescued many people from a Shipwreck!

It's an inspiring Biography that was publicized on "This is Your Life" by Ralph Edwards, back in the late Fifties,              when we were all students at Tee Jay!!   There have been three statues made of Duke on Wakiki Beach, Hawaii; in Australia,  and other places where he demonstrated his athletic prowess!

Tim Jones studied Music at Berkley School of Music in Boston, now lives in California with his wife and 2 kids,   & has composed the score for many television shows and other films for many years!  This is his most recent achievement!  His music blends with the natural scenes and emotional ups and downs of the story, making the viewer feel as if he or she were standing on the shores of Hawaii, and at the Olympics taking in all that surrounds!

Tim's name shows up on the screen at the beginning and end of the film, and his son is also a participant in    the orchestration, playing his clarinet!

Watch for this film or request it to come to your local theatre!  If it doesn't show up there, we are told it might appear on Netflix!   We went to see it last night, and it was so amazing, I wish I could watch it again!  Maybe      I  can find a DVD somewhere!  It's "A Keeper for the Next Generation!"

Movies like this don't come along every day!  I hope you get to see it!
