Here's very exciting news from Arizona!
My Daughter Rachael's Step-Son, Tim Jones, has completed the Musical Score for a brand new Documentary Movie, called "Waterman," which is now showing at various theatres across the U.S.A.!
It is the Biography of Duke Kahanamoku, a Hawaiian man who broke the color barrier through his championships in Swimming & Surfboarding in the Olympics & rescued many people from a Shipwreck!
It's an inspiring Biography that was publicized on "This is Your Life" by Ralph Edwards, back in the late Fifties, when we were all students at Tee Jay!! There have been three statues made of Duke on Wakiki Beach, Hawaii; in Australia, and other places where he demonstrated his athletic prowess!
Tim Jones studied Music at Berkley School of Music in Boston, now lives in California with his wife and 2 kids, & has composed the score for many television shows and other films for many years! This is his most recent achievement! His music blends with the natural scenes and emotional ups and downs of the story, making the viewer feel as if he or she were standing on the shores of Hawaii, and at the Olympics taking in all that surrounds!
Tim's name shows up on the screen at the beginning and end of the film, and his son is also a participant in the orchestration, playing his clarinet!
Watch for this film or request it to come to your local theatre! If it doesn't show up there, we are told it might appear on Netflix! We went to see it last night, and it was so amazing, I wish I could watch it again! Maybe I can find a DVD somewhere! It's "A Keeper for the Next Generation!"
Movies like this don't come along every day! I hope you get to see it!
